CoD Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 Season 1 Battle Pass reinvents the seasonal combat pass as a multi-sector combat mapping.
It provides the usual cosmetic items, weapons, operator skins, and unlockable map sectors. Activision has provided details on how the new map-style battle pass works and highlighted several items players can unlock this season.
This Season 1 battle pass trailer briefly overviews how the pass functions as a multi-sectoral map. However, it is a combat map-style battle pass divided into sections ranging from A0 through A20. Sections A1 through A20 connect, each with a main item called the High-Value Target (HVT). There are also four additional items. Before the HVT can unlock, all four standard items must first be unlocked in each sector.
The battle pass contains over 100 tiers, with 20 free tiers. You will need a Battle Token Tier Skip to unlock all these items. Like the old battle pass system, Battle Token Tier Skips can be earned by simply playing the game. Although it sounds complicated, the battle pass can be converted into a combat map. This allows players to choose their path and get their desired items.
Season 1 introduced Zosar Kalu (Zeus) Kalu, who is now the operator of the pass. Anyone who buys the premium battle pass will instantly unlock Zeus. The premium battle pass bundles Zeus unlocking with a 10% boost to your battle pass, the Myth Maker SMG weapons blueprint, the Articulate Response sidearm weapons blueprint, and a gun screen. This new customization feature allows players to attach a widget (such as one that shows the time and date in the real world) to their weapon.
The Orbiter weapon blueprint is located in sector A1. It is a cosmetic version of the Kastovia assault gun. This is the HVT for the sector. Players must unlock four additional items: a calling card, a double weapon token; an emblem; and a weapon charm. Once a sector has been completed, players can move on to the next sector by obtaining an HVT item. Players can, for example, move to the A2 and A3 sectors once they unlock the Orbiter blueprint.
As this season’s unlockable weapons, the Victus XMR sniper gun and the BAS -P submachine guns, are included in the free tiers. The HVT item in sector 6 is where you can find the BAS-P submachine guns, which are described as having a fast fire rate and a modular frame. Victus XMR sniper rifle is described as a bolt-action rifle that is hard-hitting and can fire. 50 cal BMG ammo is available at the HVT item in sector A6.
A few rare operator skins are also available. The Unseen, a KorTac MilSim operator skin that can be unlocked in sector A9, is unlocked by Ursidae, a Zero operator skin that can also be unlocked in sector A11. Due to his difficult-to-see operator skin, Roze, Warzone’s most controversial operator, will get a new blacked-out operator skin called Blackout, an HVT at sector A18.
The Victory Sector contains additional items that can be unlocked if players reach 100% completion of the map. These include the Olympus King skin for Zeus, Mortal’s Bane weapon blueprint, and 300 CoD points.
The battle pass includes 1,400 CoD points. The battle pass includes 400 CP and 1,000 with the premium pass or victory sector. Players can also earn back CoD Points they have spent on the full pass.
Call of Duty will also introduce DLC based on the seven deadly Sins. The Sloth bundle will be the first, and it will be available in Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0. Warzone 2.0 will not accept cosmetics from Warzone or past Call of Duty games. Only the Caldera map will be available to Warzone 2 players still playing the original Warzone.
